At least two important things happened in the second half of the Master Stage High Performance course. The first was the arrival of Luna Rossa skipper Max Sirena, who completed the stellar cast of instructors as planned; the second was a definite strengthening of the wind, which had been somewhat lacking in the initial days.
This allowed us to address other topics than those of the first part of the stage, as Luigi Gallerani, correspondent of the Giornale della Vela, has accurately documented: "While in the past few days we have understood the importance of crew roles, trim, roll tack and fine-tuning of sails and the techniques for sailing in light winds, today we have prepared the boat for sailing in strong winds, so we have concentrated on tensioning the shrouds and backstay, hoisting the Swedish mainsail and jib, and manoeuvring at speed in races, using aft gaits to simulate the conditions in which it is not possible to hoist gennakers."

The course has now ended and the four best students will move to Malcesine for the RS21 European Championship where they will have their first experience in an international one-design regatta.
