We are at the 4th episode of our Cup Lessons, 'Roles and Raves with Francesco Gabibbo Pizzuto'. and the audience continues to grow. Merit of an idea is simple and effective: a technical commentary of the highest level by a professional and the didactic-divulgative capacity of an instructor CVC. All this to tell the highlights of the America's Cup races from a technical, tactical and race rules point of view.
And the format is really enjoying itself, as demonstrated by the thousands of views of each of the videos posted on our YouTube channel, both for sailors and non-sailors. This is thanks to the high level of the guests(Gabriele Ganga Bruni, 'our' Roberto Ferrarese and, in the latest episode, Francesco Pizzuto, known as "Gabibbo", one of the most expert riggers in Italy and the world, who won the America's Cup with Oracle in 2010), but also thanks to the ability of the CVC instructors to make even slightly technical and complex topics accessible even to those who start from scratch with sailing.
It is no coincidence that Coppa's lessons use a virtual blackboard: the blackboard has always been an icon of CVC teaching and of a teaching method that makes visual communication and clarity of presentation its strong points. So much so that, scrolling through the comments (all very flattering) on the margins of the various Lessons, there are many who -completely unfamiliar with sailing- thank us for having made clear and accessible a subject that is not easy in itself, allowing them to enjoy the live competitions as well.
Whether you are an aspiring match racer or just a curious sports enthusiast, you can find out more about the technical aspects, rules and tactics of Cup racing on our Youtube channel.
Below is the fourth episode and a recap of all the episodes published so far. Happy Cup Lessons!
