Usually, when help is needed on a boat, people ask for "Hands!". This time, however, it is your feet that we need, and for a cause that couldn't be better. We are in fact organising the teams to run the MilanoMarathon on 8 April to raise funds for the non-profit organisation We Will Care and in particular to finance the Patients on Board project, of which the School is a partner.
This project will allow 150 cancer patients to attend specific CVC sailing courses in 2018, flanked by psychotherapy sessions, during which, thanks to the clinical and scientific support of psycho-oncologists from We Will Care and the State University of Milan, data will be collected to verify the effectiveness of this type of intervention on patients' health.
The courses will be free of charge for the patients, two thirds of the cost will be borne by We Will Care and the rest by CVC, and for this we need your help as well. The teams that will run the Marathon will each consist of 4 people and in order to register you must send the details below to segreteria@wewillcare.it .
The registration fee for each team is €125.00 and has already been supported by We Will Care, what we ask is that you commit to a free donation via the Rete del Dono at the link https://
But there's more: since the aim of the initiative is fundraising, we are appealing to all of you, regardless of whether you decide to actively participate in the Milano Marathon or not, to become ambassadors by passing the word to all your friends and relatives, in person or via social media, in order to make this fundraiser a success and one of the great moments of unity of the Caprerina family!
