Once again this year, as has become customary, the CVC Foundation is renewing its support for the event dedicated to the sea, which in the 2024 edition will see sailing take the lion's share.
As the organizers, our friends at Ithaca Outdoor, tell us, "the allure and energy of the ocean lands on the big screen on the boat "Climate Action Now" with which, in the film "Ice Maiden," Australian sailor Lisa Blair tackles the unforgiving Antarctic Ocean, defying her own limits and the fury of nature.
The premiere will take place on October 22, 2024 in Milan, in the prestigious venue of Teatro Carcano, which will host this show for the first time, showing great confidence both in its quality and ability to captivate audiences and in the principles it upholds, and will be followed by the more than 15 events in different cities of the tour, which will end in Bari on November 28.
"The films in this 2024 edition are topical and multifaceted and explore the planet water in its entirety, from the surface to the depths." says Alessandra Raggio, CEO Ithaca the Outdoor Community "Indeed, the program we are offering this year celebrates the extraordinary beauty of the seas, in their playful and adventurous dimensions and as an ecosystem rich with life to protect. We are excited to share these inspiring films and celebrate the magic of the ocean."
Especially awaited is the Italian film "Playground" set in Liguria, a high-impact short film about Citizen Science, water sports and how we can all collect scientific data for the sea while practicing the activities we love most.
The five films presented will totally immerse viewers in the beauty and power of the seas, for a total duration of the evening of about 120 minutes, including the participation of distinguished guests.
