Who is the CVC MASTER ACADEMY course intended for?
To those who already have 'significant experience in one-design racing and want to perfect themselves with coaches of undisputed level.
The course requires physical fitness suitable for even demanding sports activity.
What are the minimum admission requirements?
- for those who have already taken courses at the Caprera Sailing Center: having passed the AC2 course by obtaining the proposal for the Master course
- for those who have not yet taken courses at the Caprera Sailing Center: have gained and be able to document significant experience in one-design racing
The course syllabus
- Summary 4 macro areas of the sport of sailing, - The main maneuvers: why?
- The rules and techniques of match racing (America's cup formula)
- The start: objective, and review of the regulations at the start
- The advanced strategy of fleet racing and match racing, the Importance Plan A/Plan B
- The importance of visualization, simple maneuver visualization techniques, and the state of Flow
- The elegance of gesture for performance, crew movements and weight management (dance/boxing)
- Regatta construction and basic percentages (Dx, Sin, in phase, don't know)
- Valence. Strategy vs. tactics
- Post-knowledge and pre-knowledge (what is intuition?), aa right mindset to go for points in a long series
- Weather for a regatta: what wind will we face? The field: where we don't want to go and our plan B
- The "Grace under pressure" concept
- Knowing ourselves better: the S.F.E.R.A model
- The long journey to excellence: well-being-performance-achievement

- One coach per crew, embarked until maneuvering autonomy is achieved
