The Caprerino crew of the CLINIC CLASS 40 course taught by Luca Sabiu is heading for the Strait of Gibraltar and is preparing for navigation in the Atlantic Ocean, "after a Monday dedicated to weather planning, studying routes, escape routes, safety procedures, compulsory rules to be applied during navigation and preparing the galley, which will have a range of 5/6 days to maintain a good safety margin", as Luca tells us on his blog.
Morale is high and it's not long before the passage to the ocean, scheduled for next Thursday. "On Thursday morning," continues Luca, "we'll pass through the Strait and face the ocean with the destination of Lanzarote, the port we've chosen to land in the Canary Islands. The routage and the planning tell us that it's a 700-mile navigation".
The crew is motivated and ready to embark on the ocean adventure and those who want to can follow the ocean adventure of our crew at each stage by clicking on the link below.
