One of our most popular weekend courses is expanding: in addition to the courses already scheduled in Rosignano (Li) at Marina Cala De Medici, we are now offering courses in Fano (PU).
The course duration and curriculum remain the same, but there is one important logistical difference: for the courses scheduled in Rosignano, lodging is included in the price, whereas for those held in Fano, it is not; therefore, the course fee is significantly lower, but students are responsible for their own lodging.
As for the duration, for all “Manovra” courses cabin cruiser , arrival is scheduled for Thursday evening, while departure is set for 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
The training program, on the other hand, is explicitly aimed at anyone—whether or not they hold a boat license—who is already familiar with operating a cabin cruiser but, as stated in the course outline, “does not have sufficient experience to take on the responsibility of maneuvering a boat in confined waters.” Particular attention is given to docking techniques, anchoring in open water, and safety and emergency maneuvers. This course delves into specific techniques for managing critical or emergency situations. Each exercise, no matter how complex, is repeated several times to help students develop an understanding of the proper use of the forces involved and the available equipment. Students are also provided with a sufficient foundation of engine knowledge to address minor malfunctions.”
All courses will be held on 30- to 40-foot cabin cruisers.
There aren't many spots available in either Rosignano or Fano, so we recommend that you sign up for your course right away!
